1998
A Legacy is Born
AFCO is founded by Muhammad Farid Khan (Late). Named after his eldest son Asif and himself, “Asif Farid & Company” was born. Rooted in ethics and service, AFCO set out to become a trusted partner in tax and consultancy.
2002
A New Generation
Asif Fareed joins the firm as a partner. Bringing fresh energy and qualifications in finance, law, and compliance. His leadership marks the beginning of a generational transformation and forward vision.
2004
Strategic Growth
Firm restructures into an Association of Persons (AOP). Led by Muhammad Farid Khan, Asif Fareed, and Atif Fareed. AFCO expands its services and formalizes a collaborative foundation for growth.
2013
A New Home
AFCO relocates to its central office in G-8 Markaz, Islamabad. This strategic move boosts visibility and cements AFCO’s national identity. The firm now attracts major clients and recognition across Pakistan.
2019
Sharing Knowledge

Corporate Evolution
AFCO is officially registered with SECP as a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP). The LLP includes Shazia Mushtaq, Atif Fareed, Asif Fareed, and the late Muhammad Farid Khan. This marks a pivotal legal evolution in AFCO’s journey and growth model.

As the visionary Founding Father of Asif Farid & Company LLP (AFCO), the late Mr. Muhammad Farid Khan laid the cornerstone of the firm with unmatched dedication, integrity, and foresight. Asif Fareed
Managing Partner / Director
Asif Fareed serves as the Managing Partner at AFCO, bringing over 20 years of multidisciplinary expertise in taxation, corporate law, and financial consultancy. A qualified Adv High Court and a SECP-registered intermediary, he is widely recognized for his proficiency in tax planning, filing of tax returns, and handling complex compliance matters. He regularly represents clients before taxation authorities including IRO, CIR, CIR (Appeals), ATIR, and even at the High Court level. As a certified corporate trainer, he has conducted numerous workshops and seminars across Pakistan on Income Tax, Sales Tax, and Withholding Tax. His academic background includes CMA (Finalist), MBA in Finance, LLB, and completion of CA Articles, equipping him with the analytical and legal insight necessary for high-level strategic advisory. He has also held prominent positions such as Secretary-General of the Rawalpindi Islamabad Tax Bar Association (RITBA) and is the current Chairman of the Tax Bar Committee at the Islamabad High Court Bar Association (IHCBA) — underscoring his active leadership in Pakistan’s legal and tax community.

Atif Fareed, a Partner at Asif Farid & Company LLP (AFCO), is a qualified Income Tax Practitioner with a strong academic background that includes ACCA (UK), Masters in Banking & Finance (MBF), and completion of Chartered Accountancy (CA) Articles. With a focus on strategic financial management, he specializes in the oversight of accounting systems, budgeting, and in-depth financial analysis to support data-driven decision-making for businesses of all sizes. His expertise extends to navigating complex taxation frameworks and offering actionable insights that improve operational efficiency and compliance. Known for his client-centered approach and professional integrity, Atif plays a pivotal role in providing tailored financial and corporate advisory solutions, helping clients succeed in today’s fast-changing regulatory and economic environment.
